Narayana Guru was a philosopher, spiritual leader and social reformer in India. He led a reform movement against the injustice in the caste-ridden society of Kerala to promote spiritual enlightenment and social equality.

His famous quote, "One Caste, One Religion, One God for Man", became the motto of his reform movement. He established temples for the backward communities where they could worship without discrimination.
